Anta Sports Products Ltd is a Chinese sportswear multinational corporation engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, and marketing of branded sportswear.
Anta was founded in 1991 and was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2007. With a market cap value of $30.14 Billion, Anta is ranked fourth in the worldwide sportswear industry after Nike, Lululemon, and Adidas.
Anta Sports aims to achieve leading positions both in the mass and the high-end sportswear markets, hence the decision of pursuing a multi-brand strategy.
The corporation owns brands such as Anta, FILA, DESCENTE, and KOLON, and acquired the Finland sports brand group Amer Sports Corporation in 2019 with internationally renowned brands such as Salomon, Arc’teryx, Peak Performance, etc.
In August 2021, the State Council announced a new five-year mass fitness program, allowing citizens to enjoy full coverage of fitness facilities in cities, county towns, villages, and communities within a 15-minute walk by 2025. China’s sportswear industry will directly benefit from new national policies and socioeconomic developments, and it is expected to generate more than $785 Billion.
Anta is the official partner of the Chinese Olympic Committee: beyond the Tokyo and Beijing Olympic Games, Anta will continue to sponsor the 22 Chinese national Olympic teams by providing first-class sports outfits for the next 16 years, and meanwhile enjoying a huge exposure and publicity. Moreover, Anta is also constantly enhancing its brand influence and image by endorsing professional athletes such as Eileen Gu, but also renowned Chinese celebrities, thus benefiting from their strong social influence.
